Quality in Tourism

Provider of quality grading and assessments across a number of industries, M Assessment Services operate a large field force of assessors who carry out on-site inspections. Within the Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism Industry, the Quality in Tourism brand is long-standing and well known for its Star Grading Assessments. We were appointed in 2014 for a three-month consultancy project, to support an evaluation of the existing membership schemes, and deliver a strategy for improved membership retention and growth. 

Key Results

Our results for Quality in Tourism have been many and varied, certified by a relationship that has already exceeded five years. In that time, our highlight results include:

  • Assessing the market and developing new assessment schemes, such as REST: Responsible, Ethical, Sustainable Tourism, including planning the strategic rollout and launch and all associated activities. 
  • Delivering member email communications with an open rate of 36.5%, against an industry average rate of 19.2%.
  • Increasing the payments received by deadline by 18%, reducing member lapse by 2% and securing 9% switch of members to a pay early scheme, securing money at the beginning of the year for organisation.
  • Instrumental input to secure the Primary Authority Partnership with Cornwall Council, which now enables Quality in Tourism towork with local authorities across the UK, using their approved Safe, Clean & LegalTM Framework
  • Regular monthly features secured and delivered with Hotel Owner Magazine
  • Features in a variety of trade and mainstream publications, including The Times and The Telegraph. 

Initially, the support provided was email marketing, delivering fortnightly member communications, including copywriting, collation, population, database management, sending and delivery.

We have since written and began delivery on a full marketing strategy, acquistion campaigns, analysis of member benefits and design & print.

Services provided

apt were originally taken on to support the in-house team on a temporary contract for three months in October 2014.  Due to the services rendered and results achieved we have been taken on in a retained capacity and have gone on to become the outsourced marketing team.

We now support with strategic development, traditional & digital marketing, copywriting and PR.
